The EEA and Norway Grants 2004-2009 are the contribution from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reduce social and economic disparities in Europe. On 30 April 2009, the grant schemes reached the end of their five year commitment period. 1250 projects, funds, and programmes have been awarded €1.2 billion in grant support. In the time to come, our spotlight will be on the implementation of these projects.

The activities supported in the 15 beneficiary states will improve health and childcare services, support innovative research, strengthen civil society development and protect the environment. We will continue to provide you with updates on developments and results through our monthly newsletter.
