This is the organism that is responsible for the monitoring of incidental captures in Norwegian waters. Presently, is developing an innovative program on evaluation of incidental captures by smaller local fishing boats. The knowledge achieved by this institution is essential in what concerns the top level decision-taking and the implementation of schemes for evaluation of incidental captures.
