ACTIVITY 2: Evaluation of abundance and distribution of cetacean populations

PARTICIPANTS: UMinho, SPVS.

SCOPE:

1. Abundance estimations of cetaceans in the study using airplane census techniques;
2. Identification of hot-spots in terms of abundance and seasonal occurrence;
3. Relation of presence/absence data and abundance of cetaceans with oceanographic data (SST, CloA, slope, distance from coast, fisheries pressure, touristy pressure, boat presence, etc.).
